Should I provide statements to my insurance company and the insurance company of the driver who hit me after a Mississippi motorcycle accident?

If you’re making a claim against your insurance policy, then you’re going to be required to give them a statement most of the time. The answer to that part of your question is yes, you probably will have to give a statement. As to the other driver’s insurance, you’re not required to give a statement. They may not readily pay you if you don’t. Oftentimes, we don’t let our clients give statements to the other insurance company. We will put together a package, present it to them with all the facts, and then if they’re not willing to pay the value of the claim, then we’re going to file a lawsuit. So, you do not have to give a statement to the other insurance company. We would tell people in most circumstances not to do so.
