How is a Mississippi property or business owner’s liability determined?

In Mississippi, liability of a property owner is determined largely by if they knew of a defective condition, and they failed to either fix that condition or to warn them about it, then they’re going to be liable to the person that was injured.

For example, if there was a big hole in their parking lot, and they knew about it, and someone comes along and tripped into that pothole and gets injured without any warnings or without any repairs, then they’re likely to be able to recover against that property owner.
